The origins of the business stem back to the owner's family converting a farmhouse in the beautiful mountain village of Gökçeovacık for holiday letting. This proved very popular with English tourists and a further holiday let villa was subsequently purchased at the holiday resort of Sarigerme on the turquoise coast.

Mehmet Kavak, the English speaking mainstay of the business, was becoming known to the steady influx of foreigners and proving to be extremely helpful to them when acquiring a property abroad, whether as a place of residence or as a holiday home. He was initially asked to manage a cottage at Gökçeovacık in the absence of the English owners. Similar requests followed and over a comparatively short period a portfolio of managed properties in Göcek, Gökçeovacık, Dalaman and Sarigerme was established; business practices were put into place, and 'My Home Management', chosen as the business name. MHM took a big stride forward when a developer in Dalaman invited Mehmet Kavak and MHM to take over the management of an established complex of twenty-two apartments. To-date this business expansion continues. MHM remains a family business with the the owner Mehmet Kavak working full time at the helm with a mixed team of full and part time employees, plus constantly available contractors such as plumbers, builders, carpenters etc.  Interestingly MHM have formed a staff football team which competes in the local Dalaman league.
